AUSTIN is a multihyphenate ARTIST And activist WITH A PASSION FOR helping others.
She is best known for playing Phoebe in Dolphin Tale 1 & 2. TV credits include S.W.A.T, Chicago Med, Seal Team, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Big Love, NCIS, Hawaii 5-0, and Scream: the TV series, to name a few. A veteran of Los Angeles theatre, Austin most recently debuted the role of Annie Overton in Warren Leight’s Home Front at the Victory Theatre in Burbank. Additional theatre credits include Annie in All My Sons, Rosannah in Brilliant Traces, Evelyn in Shape of Things, among others. She has produced several of the independent films that she's starred in as well, including two sold to Lifetime Movie Network. She’s also wrote A Country Romance which is streaming on Amazon Prime and co-wrote The Plus One which is streaming on Starz. Her current feature Inheritance which she stars in and has a story by credit on is in post production.
Apart from her on-screen work, Highsmith performed as a stand-up comic at such venues as the Comedy Store, Acme Comedy Theatre, and the Tampa Improv. She is currently pitching several other features and television series. Austin also published her children’s picture book, The Miracle Tree, that she authored and illustrated which was released in April 2019, which she is adapting into a screenplay alongside Emmy winner Noam Dromi.
